2022 Mansfield Awards - Wrap up!

Congratulations to all our winners and finalists of the 2022 Mansfield Awards!

On a rainy Thursday evening, guests from all across the Australian Insurance Industry filed into the Establishment Ballroom in Sydney. Anticipation filled the air as they all wondered who would come away with a trophy, or maybe even trophies.

The night began with a with a stirring commencement video, M.C Mark Silveria then opened the event officially. Mark set the tone for the evening beautifully, sharing a story of how an insurer going above and beyond for their customer, made enormous impact in a dying man’s life.

Keynote speaker, Jongsok Oh of Suncorp then took the stage to speak passionately about the importance of climate change and the role that we can play as an industry.

After the keynote it was time for the awards! Presenters Annette O’Brien and Michael White of event sponsor Steadfast presented the first two categories, Personal Lines and SME Property and casualty. QBE walked away with Personal Lines and Vero took the SME Property & Casualty.

Following that, Tony Wessling from event sponsor icare took the stage to present the next two silver categories, Corporate Property and Casualty & Specialty. Zurich took out the Corporate Property and Casualty category with both EBM RentCover & GT Insurance taking out a joint win for the specialty category.

With all of our silver-wear going to deserving winners, it was now time for our new category, the Purple Mansfield. LMI Group CEO, Steve Manning took the stage to explain why the new category was added and why it was important to the industry. Natasha Blanch of Suncorp took out the inaugural Purple Mansfield Award with her stunning story of professionalism and heart despite dealing with personal adversity.

Dr. Allan Manning, our event founder, then took to the stage to explain this years statistics and award our final trophy, the Gold Mansfield. Vero were awarded the Gold for the third time in a row! A truly remarkable feat. Well done Vero!

With that, the formalities were over allowing the guests to celebrate, commiserate and congratulate with their teams. Below are the winners, finalists and pictures from the night! We encourage all to share and tag via your company social media.
