The 8th Annual Mansfield Awards for Claims Excellence were held at a gala event last night at the Establishment in Sydney.
The judging of these awards takes a massive effort with 468 ratings on over 240 insurer brands. It was pleasing for the second year in a row to see that more of the claims ratings went up during the past 12 months than went down.
In fact, 140 ratings increased while 132 went down. The maximum increase was 1.5 stars and the biggest drop was 2 full stars.
The full list is available today on ClaimsComparison.com.
Following this work, the finalists and winners of this year’s Mansfield Awards were determined. These I am pleased to list below:

Thank You
Our sincere thanks to our wonderful and generous sponsors, Steadfast Claims Solutions and icare. Both have been with and embody the principles of the Mansfield’s since the Award’s inception. We also thank the presenters Steve Toppervoc and Andy Martindale from Steadfast Claims Solutions and Tony Wessling and Mariam Tadros from icare.
The Mansfield’s remain a not-for-profit event with the proceeds going to the Amal Mulia Orphanage in Bengkulu, Sumatra, a stone’s throw from Fort Marlborough, the site of the claim that gave rise to Lord Mansfield’s seminal decision, giving rise to the principle that Utmost Good Faith by all parties to the contract in insurance is necessary for insurance to work.
Our thanks also to our wonderful and passionate guest speaker, Stella Pruscino from Edgewise Insurance Brokers and our Master of Ceremonies, Nathan Strempel, both of whom generously volunteered their time.
Bigger and Better in 2025
From the very start of the Mansfield’s we have been under pressure to expand the awards to others in the claims arena. This pressure has only increased year on year. From 2025, the Mansfield Awards will include 3 additional Awards. 1. Service Provider Award; 2. Broker Claims Team; 3. Loss Adjusting.
More details on these new categories will be released shortly.
